↩️ WooCommerce Bulk Edit Undo

Made a bad bulk edit? One click. It's back.

WooCommerce has no undo for bulk edits. If you bulk-applied the wrong price, updated the wrong products, or ran an import that overwrote good data — you're fixing it manually, row by row, while your store is live. Bossy snapshots your catalog before every write. Restore in one click.

Snapshot Undo is free — no product cap, no license required. Available on all plans including the free version.

How it works

Snapshot before. Restore after. No drama.

Every time Bossy writes data to your database — a bulk price update, a category change, a variation stock edit — it saves the before-state first. That saved state is your restore point. The whole flow is three steps.

1
You run a bulk action
Select products, configure the action (price, stock, category, whatever), click Apply. Before Bossy writes anything, it captures the current state of every affected row to a dedicated database table with a timestamp.
2
Something's wrong — open the snapshot bar
The Undo bar is pinned at the top of every Bossy screen. It shows your recent snapshots with timestamps and labels like "Bulk price apply — 47 rows." Click the one you want to reverse.
3
Click Restore
Bossy reads the snapshot and writes the before-state back to your database. The affected rows return to exactly what they were before the bulk action ran. No developer. No database access. No panic.
Coverage

Every write is snapshotted. Not just some of them.

Partial undo coverage is how you end up with a restore that doesn't actually restore everything. Bossy snapshots every bulk action type — prices, stock, variations, galleries, media, and import runs.

From the undo docs — 7 things to know

  • Snapshots are per-user. Your restore doesn't affect another admin's session.
  • Snapshots are persistent — they survive browser closes, page refreshes, and WP admin navigations.
  • The undo bar is visible on every Bossy screen, not just the one where you ran the action.
  • Restoring a snapshot does not create a new snapshot — restore is a one-way action. Review before you restore.
  • Snapshots can be cleared from the Danger Zone tab when you don't need them anymore.
  • SKU collision recovery is covered — if a SKU scheme apply creates a conflict, the snapshot contains the pre-apply SKUs.
  • Row-level saves count too — clicking a single product's Save button captures that product's before-state, so a one-row edit is just as recoverable as a bulk action.
FAQ

Undo questions.

Is Snapshot Undo really free?

Yes. No product cap, no license required. The free version on WordPress.org includes full Snapshot Undo coverage for every bulk write in the Bulk Editor and variation editor. Pro users get additional snapshot coverage for the Variations Tab, Media Manager, and CSV Import.

How long are snapshots kept?

Snapshots are stored in a dedicated Bossy database table — they don't expire automatically. You clear them manually from the Danger Zone tab when you no longer need them. The table is the only Bossy-owned database table; if you uninstall Bossy, it can be cleaned up from there.

Can I undo an import run?

Snapshot Undo covers bulk writes to existing product data. For import runs, if an import overwrites existing product fields, those field values are captured in the snapshot. Full product deletion recovery (if the import created products you want to remove) is handled by the Danger Zone bulk delete, not Snapshot Undo.

Does it work if two admins are running bulk actions at the same time?

Snapshots are scoped per-user. Your snapshot list shows your actions; another admin's actions appear in their own snapshot list. Restoring your snapshot doesn't interfere with theirs. If both admins edited the same products, restoring may overwrite each other's changes — coordinate with your team before restoring in a multi-admin environment.

Run bulk edits without the white-knuckle grip.

Bossy is the bulk editor for visual WooCommerce catalogs — assign variation images from your product shots in two clicks, undo when you bulk-edit wrong, and skip the spreadsheet cosplay. Every write snapshotted. One-click restore. Free on WordPress.org — no license required.
